Police appeal: Were you the victim of an assault on New Year's Day?

POLICE are asking of you were the victim of an assault in Mansfield Woodhouse in the early hours of New Year's Day?
Officers were alerted to a white man being attacked by a group of other men in Swan Lane at around 2.30am on Tuesday, but on arrival the victim had left the scene.
Two Mansfield men, aged 25 and 23, were arrested in connection with the incident. The 25-year-old was bailed pending further enquiries and the 23-year-old was released without action.
The victim, witnesses or anyone with any information should contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
